I am celebrating just over a year of working from Earlsfield, I moved two days of my clinic across to Earlsfield Jan 2014 to meet growing demand from clients coming to my Putney clinic.
Earlsfield is a district going through a huge amount of change – traditionally quite a working class area, it has – in the last ten years – been heavily gentrified and seen a huge influx of young professional, young families, and other taking advantage of its transport links to town.
It has quite a unique mix of clinical problems: I get to see quite few older folk for ageing related problems; health anxiety, helping to get over bereavement, assisting grandchildren problems. I see a steady flow of young professionals looking to increase their confidence in meeting and work situations, and manage other anxieties such as new relationships, and many of the common phobias: flying, driving, presentation.
Roger from Chiswick, West London came to see me following a period of distressing insomnia. He wrote this to me after two sessions...
I am really sorry for not getting back to you. It slightly fell through the cracks with a couple of foreign work trips.
I enjoyed our two sessions, and have been taking your advice about sleep which has made a big difference. I am certainly sleeping much better.
As a result I would like to propose a break and see how I get on. Many thanks for all of your help. Fingers crossed I won’t need to be in touch!

Matt came to see me to help with his confidence issues...
When I first went to see Doug, I was at a real crossroads in my life. I was feeling really unhappy about a number of aspects of my life, but was not sure what to do about it all.
I felt completely overwhelmed by my feelings and needed help to gain some perspective.
I'm so glad that I met Doug, as his compassionate and practical approach really helped me understand what was going on, and how to navigate my way forwards.
At times our sessions were challenging, and I had to face up to some uncomfortable realities which would lead me to make some fairly life changing decisions about my career and lifestyle.
But Doug was incredibly supportive and helped me tackle one thing at a time. The time and money I spent on those sessions, represents the best value for money I've probably ever received!!
12-18 months on, my life is quite radically different (for one I now live in Australia!). But I'm so much happier, and feel like I'm on a very positive and exciting path forward. Life is great and I can't thank Doug enough for helping me!

Jeanine from Wimbledon came for depression that left her bed bound and hopeless...
Hi Doug, thanks, yes I did have a good holiday, and for once I didn’t fear the return back to England and the stresses of our routine. Pretty much I never sleep in the day now, this is the biggest turnaround, I actually feel ready for the new projects I’ve got lined up and can see a brighter future for Ross and I. I don’t feel the need to return to see you right now which I guess is very positive…thanks for your patience and understanding, I have recommended you to my best friend for her daughters food problems.
