Sometimes in life relationships come to an end, the last few steps can be quite difficult, you aren’t 100% sure, but things haven’t been as you would like for some time. The ending of a relationship can be painful, disorientating and can - for some time- leave you feeling really out of sorts. Remember that when you look back relationships ending nearly always leads to greener pastures.
Here are some useful tips on helping you through the early stages of a relationship ending:
1. Put yourself first - even though you may become great friends, now is a time to stop contact as much as possible. If you co habit, make a plan to find alternative living space.
2.You will still get invites as a couple from friends and relatives, minimise socialising together as a couple - it will just take you back steps.
3. Reconnect with friends, make plans to do stuff, treat yourself to something.
4. If you are finding yourself emotionally stuck then seek professional help - counselling, psychotherapy and hypnotherapy can help
5. Remember you won’t feel like this forever - take one day at a time - some days you will be up; others you will be down.
