Getting Your Voice Heard

This audio is designed to begin to retrain the unconscious part of you, to enable you to speak up for yourself. It contains some techniques that will become automatic after some practice and with the added help of the unconscious begin to get you heard.

Three tips for getting your voice in

  • Use agreement to ‘get into’ a conversation, using the person’s name also helps
  • Use a summary to show you have been listening even if you haven’t said much – this allays assumptions that you aren’t listening
  • Use ‘turned up listening’, actively nod, smile and show visibly you are engaged – this will give the person talking a sense of your engagement
